In the midst of all this crazy weather in around Brielle this past weekend was a whirl wind of events and fun in and around New York City for Theresa and I. First we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and went straight to the Section of European masters. It was amazing viewing such classic artists such as Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Rodin, Renoir and Édouard Manet to name a few. We ran into an artist who was copying a painting (It was a joy to watch him work).
Then we went to the Photo Plus Expo at the Jacob Javits Center in New York. It's an annual trade show for portrait Artists. We had fun roaming the Aisles and meeting up with friends. Along with products for us to check out and speakers to listen to there were some drones we could actually play with and fly.
We then headed over to China town and on our way stopped and on the way stopped at a Chinese herb shop to purchase Turmeric to use for Tea. The place had an overwhelming amount of herbs and these cool wooden drawers that lined one whole wall. Dinner was at some out of the way Vietnamese restaurant. The food was delicious and the place was packed from the moment we showed up and the moment we left. Dessert was at this cool little basement restaurant on St. Marks Place called Spot Dessert Bar. The desserts were amazing!!!
We checked into the W New York Downtown hotel in the WTC district. A very different very modern hotel. We ended the weekend at a Halloween party at a Friends house the following day. We went as double stuffed Oreo's lol. Check The photos and video below for a glimpse into our fun.
